Our classes are very popular, and they fill up very quickly - especially for ages 5 through 11. If your child is new to Centreville Dance Academy, we suggest that you try our Summer Dance Session or our Summer Camps to receive priority registration. We do keep a waiting list until February, and that is always an option if there is no space available when you call. The waiting list is not kept from year to year and does not hold your spot in any future classes.

Specialty Classes

Our special 2018-19 classes (found in both our Combination and Level Class Schedules) include Musical Theatre, Ballet Technique, Dance Team Pom, Jazz/Hip Hop, and Acro! Check each class listing for the appropriate age range.

Finding a Class

There are a number of factors that go into finding the right class for your child. The main factors are the student's age, style of dance they are interested in, and for children age 7 and up, level of previous experience.

EXAMPLE - Younger Student: Your child falls into our age group of 2 through 6 (not turning 7 until October, 2018) and is interested in becoming a ballerina! For this age group, most of our classes are a combination of two or more dance styles (ballet, tap and, starting at age 5, jazz). You want to look at our Combination Class Schedule, which lists all the classes offered to this age group - no approval is needed other than to verify the student's age.

EXAMPLE - Older Student: Your child falls into our age group of 7 (prior to October, 2018) to 18. For this age group we have two choices: level classes and classes designated beginning, intermediate and advanced follow a steady progression through a single style of dance and specialty classes which either compliment a specific style of dance or offers a different style for students to explore. You will want to look at our Level Class Schedule to become familiar with the class days and times that match your child's preferences and level of experience. Feel free to call or email us if you have any questions regarding the best placement for your child.

EXAMPLE - Adult Student: If your an adult you will want to look at our Adult Dance Program to become familiar with the class days and times that are available to you. Feel free to call or email us if you have any questions regarding our adult dance program.
